We ain't in 'Merka no more...

We started our journey Saturday in Austin, then after a layover in NYC JFK airport, and 8 hours struggling to find a comfortable way to sleep in jet seats we were in Italy! Nowhere near done yet though... next was an hour long bus ride to Centralé Milan, the rail center of Milan (which is located in the not so safe district of the city). Pro tip: the people that are walking around looking like they are helping people... well they really aren't. We had two young men grab out bags and "assist" us getting on the correct train and stowing our bags, which then of course they demanded a tip... keep aware in that train station. Onto the next leg, which was a three and a half hour train ride to Venicia San Lucia. By the time we arrived in Venice it was 2:30 PM local time and we were delusional... not in that funny way, but like when you snap at the old person at the grocery store for writing a check. After a water taxi ride to Hotel Ai Reali (incredible place by the way) we had finally arrived. - BRAD
