Anthony Bourdain is not a liar...

After our boat trip to Murano, we hopped on another to Burano. This is what we had been waiting for!  The past few months we have been doing a plethora of research on Venice.  We ran across a show Anthony Bourdain did about a little restaurant on Burano.  They have been in business for...oh...decades.  Trattoria da Romano is the place, and they are known for their seafood risotto. After spending some time shopping for lace it was time to eat!  We sat down, it was like sitting in the middle of an art gallery.  Back in the day, the owners of the restaurant would accept art in exchange for food.  They have walls and walls of art!  It was amazing!  Now lets get to the food!  We started with drinks.  I had a coca-cola.  Brad ordered a cappuccino...yes....they rose their eye brow at him since it is an after dinner drink.  haha!  After we inhaled the bread basket we had the best fried calamari i've ever had.  The finale was the seafood risotto.  Now anyone who really knows me, knows that I am not the biggest fan of seafood.  I'd much rather eat pasta filled with cheese and covered in tomato sauce...however...this risotto!  WOW!  The flavor! The texture!  The sauce!  Oh my!  So as you can tell...I highly recommend it! -Lauren
